ALL-In 2022 Application

Complete application packets are due October 1, 2021 by 10 a.m. CDT.

The ALL-In 2022 Application has four components:

1) Application form – submitted online via Google Forms
2) Resume – submitted as an attachment via email
3) Letter of support – submitted as an attachment via email
4) Signature page – submitted as an attachment via email

Individual pieces of the application packet are linked at the bottom of this page. Please read all instructions before beginning your application packet.

Application Form

The application form includes four (4) narrative questions. We suggest that you compose your answers to the narrative questions in a word processing document and then copy and paste them into the fields in the online application form. The form does not allow you to save your work and return to it later. A PDF copy of the application form is available at the bottom of this page so that you can review the entire application before you begin. Do not submit the PDF copy in lieu of the online application form. The PDF copy is only for your convenience.

Additional Attachments

Attach the other components (resume, letter of support, and signature page) to one email message with the subject line: AI Application LastName FirstName. For example, Jane Smith’s subject line would be:

  • AI Application Smith Jane

Name your attachments using the following structure: AI Element LastName FirstName. Jane Smith’s attachments would be:

  • AI Resume Smith Jane
  • AI Letter Smith Jane
  • AI Signature Smith Jane

Attachments should be submitted as Microsoft Office or PDF files.

Letter of Support

Each applicant must submit a letter of support from his/her/their current library Director/Dean/Principal/Board Chair or other direct reporting authority. The letter should address the potential of the individual in terms leadership; commitment to library work and enthusiasm for libraries in general; and willingness to think about library services in creative, user-centric ways.

The letter of support should also address the employing library’s commitment to support the applicant’s participation in the Institute by allowing participants to attend the Institute and complete Institute tasks on the library’s time, and by encouraging participants to apply the learned concepts from the Institute in the library.

The letter of support should be on library letterhead, signed by the applicant’s direct reporting authority, and should be no longer than 500 words.

Signature Page

The signature page should be printed out and signed by the applicant and applicant’s director. Submit a scanned copy of the signature page with signatures and retain the original copy for your records.
