2023 Great Read for Youth: House Finds a Home

Viking Books for Young Readers, 2022

The Arkansas Center for the Book is pleased to share our Great Reads selection for Youth: House Finds a Home by Katy Duffield and illustrated by Jen Corace (New York: Viking Books for Young Readers, an Imprint of Penguin Random House, 2022).

“House has always loved the people inside. When they move out, House’s halls grow quiet, his windows dark. He hopes with all his shingles that there will be other inhabitants and joys to discover. As generations pass, House experiences new people and traditions and learns that love can come in many forms.”

Arkansas author Katy Duffield has written over 40 books for children, including our 2021 Great Reads selection, Crossings. Watch Katy talk about House Finds a Home as well as the 2023 National Book Festival theme “Everyone Has a Story” in the Great Reads: Central 2 Children video.
