In this follow-up to last year’s LGBTQ & U workshop, Allie Stevens and Ruth Hyatt will explore how libraries can continue to become safer, more inclusive environments. Topics will include new legislation that affects LGBTQ+ citizens, handling controversy and challenges, support resources and best practices for helping LGBTQ+ patrons of all ages, patron privacy considerations, and collection development ethics and policy. It is recommended that you watch the recordings of previous LGBTQ & U sessions prior to the workshop, as some information will be cumulative.
